mondegreen of Team, by Lorde

newsfeed never satisfy me,
the news are never new,
nor they drew me in,
reused words long past their due

we're living in cities,
building's highest earth has ever seen,
but we've never been so empty,
like a pod without beans

handshakes feels so foreign,
coz fingers are stuck to the screen,
scrolling, scrolling, scrollin
meals, meetings and the times in between

i know your phone's got retina 300 pix
but i'd prefer, look at my eyes when I speak
i don't know what's so interesting on insta
but I was just about, gonna, gonna..

say,

we're living in cities,
building's highest earth has ever seen,
but we've never been so empty,
like a soul without a seal.

oh the irony, is not lost to me, as I post it on a social site.
as the title suggest, the repeating verse is a mondegreen of Lorde singing her song, Team. link

Forecasts

it's supposed to snow tomorrow,
but it's raining tonight, instead.
rain patters on the pane,
tip tap, asking to get inside,
or to call me out

but I'm shielded in my sheets
toes curled and I'm balled
the night to you i bid,
goodnight, au revoir

it's supposed to snow tomorrow,
and I am laying in my bed,
in my sleep I'll dream of my dream,
a stroll along the strands of sands,
or to take you out.

The dry wells

A man dwarved in black came.

"Murder! This is murder!" the boy said.
The mother hushed and kiss his forehead;
before sending him off to sail into the sea,
only the image of him dancing and jingling on the mound of earth, remains in memory.

for whom is the rose cut?
only a prickle of blood,
which tips from the thorn, and colours the leaf.
milled regrets make the worst flour,
seared heart hardens while charred promises turn to ashes.
what is then left for the cutlery?

neither everything or all.
the wind whirrs, the waves curl.
the eyes close, the waters fall.
the words said, the feelings hurled.

Meeting and Fleeting

Hey you, do you know me?

We've met before, about a year ago.
Or maybe it was, more than a year ago.
I am now not so sure.
But we've met here, before.

what, you've never been here?
but I'm sure I met you with your sister.
she had bracers and you wore spectacles.
we've talked and talked and sat a table.

now, now don't tell me that,
you've never wore specs nor hat.
I'm quite sure we've met that evening,
we've met before... I think.

Have we?

Ifs and does

Does the earth miss the rain in the drought,
does the minnow ever miss the trout,
does a salmon miss its stream,
does a waken man miss his dream,
does the shell miss the sea,
does an acorn miss its tree,
does paper miss the quill,
does life ever miss its will,
do these questions really matter,
do I miss you, forever?

Unsought is Never Heeded

This is the resaying, of mine before
of a few words of advice, nothing more.

"how am I to grasp her shadow,
if she is the torch itself?
how am I to stay from the light,
when the dark scares me from the depth?"

O friend, o ye fool,
hope's a betrayal!
she can tread the grass, she can escape unscathed,
for in her hands, she hold the scythe.
but you, you stumble the plain,
even at her sight you shield your eyes.

"let me be," he said.
his heart is set and made.
his hopes falcons him into the heavens,
my best wishes are sadly only pigeons.

for.
even if the wide berth recedes, the deep chasm remains,
and even if your imagination succeeds, reality's a pain.

.
I would appreciate suggestions for a better/alternative title.

- -

Wipe these dreams, they are not my own
My eyes burn, burn as they run dry
They say tears can drown your thoughts
They forgot the heart lies in sea of thoughts

Snow White, this is a mirth
Yellow won't break my courtesy
Words won't scath my
It's the gaze that drove doves in droves

Over the sea, they say a sea monster lies
Who can say it's the truths or a lie
But if in a lake the sea monster lives
It's a lake monster it be, if it exist

I scry the wind, but winds ran from me
I blew the ray, but it broke in half on the way
I drank it, the smell of history
He told of it, a fable and a gist

Why, why the words don't always rhyme
The thoughts never stand
The phrase never blends
The ends never ends

Why, why the dreams are chased
The fears they come near
troubles then appear
Tragedy runs forever

In this deafening light
The shadows began to talk
It is such a frigtening sight
When thoughts began to walk

First they linger and sniff the
"what have I done?!" said he
From the past the will they muster
To answer the rough riff from thee

Of how my dreams are alone

I sat on a bough and gaze far away
I said to myself, this is the day
The day, the moment all to unravel
My legend and all of my fables

But I waited still
I dreamt on more
At the end of the day
Everything's like before

How my dreams are alone
How my wills they whither
All the ideas I conjure
were never written on paper

Yet I dream of galore
Of how the readers adore
Every work, every bits(beats)
Every words a masterpiece

So I muster my will
I wield my heart
My wisdom and wit
And began to start

Of how my dreams are alone
of how these dreams are my own

Cressent

If I were a water spider,
I'd skimp over the ripple, fleet over the water,
And when you flow
is where the spider will go.

If I were a doctor, a would-be doctor
Wouldn't life be so much easier,
The pills for health, the title for your hands
Blessings to their daughters, the parents would lend.

But if are ifs and I am neither,
Only a lad with dreams and half-sided grin,
If sulks and smiles, you never tire
Then let there be no doctor, nor spider,
only a lad with a grin.

Dictator wishes

There are three things I wish more
First of the three is gold and money
To spend on the world and its galore
Pave the path to anywhere my heart's glee

Next I wish for more power to hold
This I weld and drag behind my heels
Allies adores while enemies behold!
For those who oppose will be killed

Of the three I wish more of the last
More than the two I wished before
I wish to forget bloody deeds of past
Which my tainted hands threw my peace obscure

I once went to an island

The verses somehow related to this video/song.
Watch it first, or later, whichever suits. I recommend the former.
Owh and the writing below is not lyrics for the video. It just relates in a way. A bit.

Tap-here (Tapir)

The Tapir Tahir

There was once a tapir,
or was it a tahir?
Anyway he was our class leader.
A fine one said the other members
Drove a car light blue in colour,
"Jambu gila" some would mutter.
But really it doesn't matter,
Cos with the car,to Jusco we could wander!

Now it made me ponder
What on earth am I starting to blabber,
Owh about our class monitor
who wants a story about her
eh it's a him,not her!
egal, as long as he's a character
in any story that appear
on my blog,blog blogger~~~

though this aint one for that matter,
simple proses hacked together
run around,run little letters
be a poem,be a prose,or whatever
well,at least isn't it better
than only a key-chain peddler?

There was once Tahir,
or was it a tapir?

Fonté

a story about a unicorn,requested(in a way) by asma'.

in Chipwood Forest once lived a young, white unicorn,
young he was,but white was not his horn,
it was neither black nor grey,as it's colourless.
thus others would not see it a unicorn, rather a horse.

one day Fonté walked through the wood,
as he was hungry, searching for food,
when suddenly he heard a voice,
one he couldn't find the source,
not until he looked down, that is,
that he saw two little bunnies.

"hey there you white horse,
move away you smashed our house."
the bunnies were clearly angry,
for Fonté had stepped on their burrow's entrance,
something Fonté haven't done intentionally,
but hearing called a horse,he replied in an instance.

"how dare you!
can't you see i'm a unicorn,
you stupid obnoxious vermin,

by the by,
it's not my fault i stepped over it,
you should have made it elsewhere, stupid!"

"hey, hey stop calling names,
since its not us to blame,
we didn't notice your horn,
as it looks rather pale,
otherwise i'd call u unicorn,
so now would you move away?"
said the first hare.

"i'd gladly move quietly,if u noticed that before,
but i guess little vermin don't know more."

the unicorn move away he did,
but not before stamping its feet,
oh how the shocked the bunnies were,
so mad,they can't take anymore,

they were furious and angry,
that they bite the unicorn's legs and knee,
Fonté howled and screamed in agony
and he tried to step on the bunny

hopping and jumping,
bunnies and unicorn both,
but the bunnies escaped to their holes running,
leaving the unicorn foaming mouth with froth.

but Fonté can't accept defeat,
upon the burrow he kept stead,
thinking of ways to avenge;
but wait as he would,
till he not anymore could,
still he cant avenge.

thus Fonté left.

only then the bunny came out,
to think it was safe all about,
to realize their hole blocked,
with something of a smuck

poop Fonté left.

three days later
Fonté went through the wood,
again hungry for food,
absolutely forgetting what he'd done,
that is until he heard a voice from behind.

"so this is the unicorn,is it?
or rather a horse, better it fits.
i wonder why u mashed their place,
those nice little hare,
i agree,ur really a disgrace,
unicorns,horses and all mare"
said a tortoise,
disapproval on his face.

vain was Fonté thus scorched was his pride,
fuming with madness, crushing the tortoise with all his might,
in his anger and incense he forgot,
that tortoise shell's hard as rock.
instead of the tortoise,
Fonté was in anguish,

at sight of such,
the tortoise began to laugh,
angered Fonté more and much,
that Fontè aim for the tortoise mouth.

alas the tortoise withdrew,
just by an inch Fonté's foot flew.
laughing harder the tortoise at Fonté,
thinking he's safe,all tucked away.

however it was short-lived,
as Fonté kicked and kicked,
unintentionally sending the tortoise spinning,
upside down with its belly showing,

the tortoise flail its feet in the air,
but Fonté feet was flailing too,
and CRUSH!
past the tortoise it went through.

Fonté sat and stared at the still tortoise
one that he had incised,
for a moment he was stupefied,
but shortly he brushed it aside.

"its not my fault he died,
if only it hadn't insulted me like it had,
undoubtedly i won't run amuck,
oh well,it's just his luck."
with that Fonté walked away,
searching food for the day.

walking with a full stomach home,
happy no more hungry,he slowly roamed,
when a cat jumped out of nowhere suddenly,
surprising Fonté,before cursing vehemently.

"foul horse,"it hissed,
enough for Fonté to be piqued,
so he chased the cat amuck,
but before he knew,in a moor he was stuck,
for the cat was baiting Fonté into a quick-sand,
something the cat was planning beforehand.

"vile unicorn,u've gone so far,
u killer!ur race u've marred,
see how u wud feel now then,
to be helpless, waiting for ur end.

so the cat sat upon a stump,
waiting and watching Fonté sink,slump,
just as only Fontè head was above,
that the cat began again to move.

"i'll leave now worthless creature,
leaving u to ur death,it's near.
i wonder though y ur so heartless,
maybe thats why ur horn colourless."

the cat was leaving,
when he heard Fonté's word ringed.

"come closer and u can see,
there's colour in my horn, come and see"

without a thought the cat approached the unicorn,
squinting its eyes, peering at the horn,
before suddenly!
Fonté swinged his head swiftly,
piercing through the cat's body,
limp and lifeless,killing it instantly.

"haha.u gullible fool,
there's no color in my horn,no!
oh u r such a fool.
oh such a death fits u,oh i do think so."

in that Fonté was mistaken,
as he slowly sinked to his end of existence,
for his horn was colourless no more,
as it is red, blood red as Fonté dies in the moor.

Flár

a story about a dragon named Flár.

once upon a time, there was a dragon who was not able to breathe fire.
how ever hard he huffed and puffed,
nothing came from his mouth.
not a single flame.
not even a wisp of smoke.

at first he was a little worried,
but his parents told him it was not so bad.
"you're still young,no need to fret,
soon it will come, and you'll be glad!"
but his worries turn into sadness,
as the other tease about his strangeness.
worst was his brother Grath, with his friend Clob and Writh.
together when they were bored, they would make fun of Flar,
oh! pity him.

"watch Feuerne!how we burn this tree,
u couldn't ever do it,not even in a century."
they called him names,as a Feuerne means a dragon that is weak,
such as that cannot fly or breathe fire, and many more so to speak.

Flár was very sad,and wished that he really could,
breathe a flame of fire and show his brother,
that he can do it too.
so he tried various ways, methods to enable to breathe fire.
but all was in vain,
until one day,his brother spoke in disdain,
"Feuerne fool, all your methods are doomed to fail,
only i know how to remedy your state."
so Flár asked Grath, what could it be,
for he was at his wits end,
and would follow every advice,
as long as he can be like Grath and his friend.

"you must fly over this mountain, into the woods,
there's a small water pond there.drink from it you should."
not wasting a moment,Flár arrived at the pond,
where the water was so clean and clear,
that he can see in it,his own horn.

a gulp,
and suddenly!
out of the bushes jumped Grath,
followed by Writh and Clob,
bursting with laugh,
rolling on the earth, they could not stop.

"Feuerne certainly you are Flár,
havent you heard the story ever?
the Esig lake that turns the breathe cold,
preventing even the Elder from breathing fire,
you should have wait you little dole,
but now it shall come to you never.
you'll never breathe fire,
never Flár,ha ha ha..

they was laughing, but he was crying.
tricked and humiliated,he flew away,
away until the jeers were only whisper.
he flew away, until his wings can bat no more.
so he land near a river,to rest his beaten wings.
tho he did flew away,
the tears didnt stop to pour.

suddenly a soft voice spoke to him
"why are you crying?"
so Flár turn to see who it was,
to his surprise it was not a dragon,
initially appeared like a dwarf,
but actually it was a human son.
"why are you crying?"
again he asked.

prompted,Flár told the boy all,
and the boy told him his story, too
that they played along the river,
but the other boys ran home,
as they saw a dragon came from the sky.
limped as he was,the boy was left behind.

"but why was you crying?
even when you lost fire breathing,
you can still fly,
cant you?
obvious i think,
for a reason u cant cry."

spurred,Flár jumped and hovered,
he twirled and swirled,
circled above the lad,
before finally landing with a thud.
the boy laughed to see such sport,
it invoked the dragon thought,
forgetting his sadness
turning into bliss happiness,
when suddenly..

Grath came forth,
out of nowhere he appeared,
furiously he bellowed,
"how dare you Flare!
we searched for you everywhere,
but here you are,
playing with a humanling,
one that has killed our kind for nothing,
one that drove on our death for glory,
one that..
but here you are,
sitting with them,being merry"

with those words,Grath approached menacingly.
"i'll let you eat him then,
and u shall be forgiven,
for to kindle our breath,
it's said their heart we must have."

"NO!!i will not,
he comfort me,he had,
something a brother should do,but you did not."

enraged,Grath blew at Flár,
who cowered and crouched,
to protect the boy,his wings spread.

"how dare you say that,
you'll burn here,of your arrogant act.
Writh!Clob!
blew until your flame scorch."

though his scales were thick,
the flames did the trick.
hopes fail, whispered Flár to the boy,
"forgive me to cause this,
a death of fire..

but the boy answered
"falter not Flár,
you are a dragon still,
fight them,blow them,
flight and twirl,
i know u can.."

so Flár jumped,and twirled,
escaping to the open sky.
alas.Writh was faster,
for quickly towards Flár he jumped after,
he gripped Flár's foot,
and the rest quicken to grab his wings.

Three dragons chasing one,
one with a boy in his care,
he turned and tried,
futile as it seems,
blew as hard as he could,
not even a smoke brewed.
but he blew ice instead!

Three dragons chasing one,
three were frozen,face aghast,
fell to the ground, breaking to bits,
the last tale of Grath,Clob and Writh,
death brought by their bad deeds.
instead Flár's,it was theirs instead.

so Flár lived and the legend exist,
instead of burning he can freeze.
wide and far, famous for his feats.
and there was the boy;
who cant walk without a limp,
let alone run,so he tried,
but when the sun began to dim,
you can see him riding through the sky.

a silhouette of Flár,
the ice dragon
who huffed and puffed,
and no fire came from his mouth.
not a single flame.
not even a wisp of smoke.
only icicles.
